Mechanics is a property of a driver. Increased Mechanics will reduce the repair times required for your vehicles, as your driver can assist with repairs.

Training your drivers costs 90 credits and 30 minutes at first, but it increases to 270 credits and 90 minutes at 50%, and to 540 credits and 3 hours at 70%.
